Day 4 (Wed. 2/2)

 We got on the road at 8:49 am this morning which is our earliest departure time for the entire trip!  We stopped around 11:00 am at Flying J in Brunswick GA for fuel and brunch.  Easy drive and we arrived at Keystone Heights at 2:00 pm.  We are on a very nice site overlooking the pond.  This is a very large RV Resort with 413 current sites and is already planning hundreds of additional sites.  We are close to the clubhouse, pool, on-site post office and main office.

The Blog will be updated less frequently during our stay, but we will post occasionally when appropriate to keep everyone updated.

Day 3 (Tue. 2/1)

 We had a shorter drive today, only 230 miles and arrived at KOA Yemassee Point South 2:30pm!  Temp was 64* and not a snowflake in site. 

Nice RV park - we have stayed here a couple of times previously.

Tomorrow is our last day on the road as we head to Keystone Heights RV Resort.  We are looking forward to warmer weather 🤗

Day 2 (Mon. 1/31)

 After another challenging morning in cold temps, we got on the road at 10:50 AM.  Headed to Fayetteville RV Resort in Fayetteville, NC.  Fuel/lunch stop in Winchester, VA.  Temperature is slowly increasing 🤗 as we get further south on our journey.  Second fuel stop at Flying J north of Richmond, VA.  Stopped again in Emporia, VA for fuel and quick sandwiches to go.  Temperature now above freezing  (high 30s/low 40s as we continue on.  Not thrilled with driving second night well after sundown.

Arrived at Fayetteville RV Resort at 9:45 PM (yes it was very late).  Traveled about 450 miles today - very long day.  Next 2 days are much shorter (about 230 miles each🤗.

Day 1 (Sun. 1/30)

 Our journey finally begins.  We departed at 12:30 pm after a challenging morning of loading the camper in extremely cold weather. Temp was 8 degrees when we started loading at 8am and got up to 25 at departure.

Stopped at Grist Mill Restaurant in Parish for fuel and lunch.  Second fuel stop at Flying J in New Milford, PA.  Arrived at Twin Grove RV Resort in Pine Grove, PA at 7:02 PM (after a fuel stop near the campground).  Travel for the day about 300 miles.

More Rally Fun

Monday September 25th

Went to breakfast with our friends John & Judy at Lux restaurant.  Went on tour of Keystone customer service center and Montana High Country factory.  Very interesting to see fifth wheel units being built.

Dinner was provided by Keystone RV in the big meeting tent.  Bingo was held after dinner but we were tired and went back to the camper.


Tuesday September 26th

We went to lunch put on by Keystone in the big tent.  Menu included chicken, sausage & pasta as well as salad and deserts.  After dinner we went to the ice cream social in the big tent.

The Rally is just about over and we will be heading out in the morning for Erie KOA.

Saturday September 23rd

We attended a Rally brunch at 10 am.  Ardie made hash brown egg casserole.  There was an abundance of all kinds of food to eat and no one went away hungry.  We went shopping at Sam's Club and Walmart.  Cooked hamburgers for dinner.

After dinner we went to entertainment night which was a live band playing oldies and had an Elvis impersonator.

Sunday September 24th

Egg sandwiches for breakfast.  Went to RV Hall of Fame with our friends Bill & Cindy.  Went to a famous diner called The Lux.

We attended a potluck dinner (Ardie made broccoli salad) and had a great meal.  After dinner we went to movie night at the outdoor stage.  We saw RV with Robin Williams.
